Rose Marie has been using personal computers since 1977, modems since 1984, has been an electronic bulletin board user since 1984, a system operator from 1987-1997, a hardware and software beta tester since 1985, and an RBBS-PC software beta tester since 1987. She has taught beginners how to use personal computers, modems, and electronic bulletin board systems since 1985, in classroom situations, one-on-one, by on-line messaging and chats, as well as by telephone, as just one aspect of her small business. She operated electronic bulletin boards for The Write Word® and has installed and maintained, under contract, numerous electronic bulletin board systems for other organizations including The Library of Congress, the Prince George's County Small Business Development Center in Maryland, the Montgomery County High Technology Council in Rockville, Maryland, The Plaintiff's Bar in Fairfax, Virginia, etc.Additionally, Rose Marie tests software and hardware, and writes review articles and features which have been published in the international Capital PC User's Group magazine, The Monitor. |
